Global events have reminded us how deeply connected the world is. The ongoing conflict involving USA and Iran has significantly disrupted global oil supply, driving fuel prices upward across many nations.

In the Philippines, this impact has been strongly felt. As a country heavily dependent on imported oil, fuel prices have surged, contributing to a nationwide energy crisis and increased cost of living. Transport workers, especially those in the informal sector like tricycle drivers, have been among the most affected — struggling daily as rising gasoline costs eat into their already modest earnings.

Recognizing this reality, Canaan Ministries sought to respond in a simple yet meaningful way. While modest, this gesture was intended to ease, even in a small measure, the burden carried by these hardworking individuals.

Canaan Ministries believes that faith is best expressed not only in words, but in action. By reaching out to tricycle drivers, the ministry affirms the biblical call to love one’s neighbor and serve those in need.

While this effort may be small in scale, its impact lies in the message it carries: You are seen. You are valued. You are not alone.

As challenges continue, Canaan Ministries remains committed to exploring ways to support and uplift the community. Whether through simple acts of giving or continued outreach, the goal is to reflect God’s love in tangible ways.
